Second #MailART group
Posted: June 10, 2009 Filed under: Mail Art 115 CommentsFor those interested, we will run a second #MailArt group in July with an August deadline. Keep an eye out for future blog posts. Leave your name and comments below, if your interested. See previous blog post for the rules and ideas on the first group. http://bit.ly/BxSfZ
However, go ahead and start some discussion in comment box here below. I think we should think about looking for venues for a MailArt exhibition. Talk it up, along with whatever concerns you have. Help each other, I won’t be so available in the coming weeks.
Since personally, we are moving, having a baby and looking for a “real job”, I won’t be doing anything about the second #MailArt exchange, until the second week in July. Until then I will collect addresses, listen to your views and send out info for new groups with a July 19 deadline to enter, and an August 31st deadline for mailing.
I would love to be a part of this. @rnovek on twitter. Thanks!

A few years ago, I saw a wonderful postcard exhibition at the Tohono Chul Park gallery in Tucson. Cards had been mailed to them from all over the world, each card was a form of fiber art, sewn or woven somehow. I am sure they still have a catalog of the show at http://www.tohonochulpark.org

Just want to say that we are getting a tidily grand group here for our Second #MailART exchange. We will divide into groups of 30. I am hoping for at least 3 groups, with a total of 90 signups, we have around 70 sign-ups now so far I think, have to do a proper count next week.
I missed the first one and I am delighted there is another one! Count me in…already thinking of possible ideas to experiment with.
Will check locally to see if possible to have show at post office.
I’d love to participate, this sounds amazing. Twitter: @lipstickcanary
Sounds like a blast. Somehow I missed the first one. Count me in for this…
Twitter: @ccolbert
Would love to be involved. As I understand it, we each create 30 mailart pieces and send one each to the other participants: is that right? So the full ouevre is never seen. Sounds good.
I’m looking forward to Mailart 2.0! The ideas are bountiful. If anyone hasn’t met me yet, I’m @Buffalokid on twitter.
